pros and cons of blogging for class

pros: blogging really helps open up the mind when it comes to writing. i feel like i can write about anything that comes to mind when blogging. when i can do that i can usually focus on one idea and go with it, incorporating different ideas that still relate to what im writing.
cons: i dont feel like blogging is a big part of my life and i dont find much value in it. therefore i forget about doing it alot which the influences my grade.

technology

technology is the backbone of almost everything today. it runs companys organizations and countries. it also helps everyday people in life, making everything easier for you. from transportation to communication. technology has enfluenced most things like music and even art, from computers to the wheel. some of the most brilliant people have manipulated the technology around them to help wit every day tasks.
technology is never done growing and that is what is great about. we can keep coming up with impossible ideas and make them possible through technology. almost everything we touch nowadays is technology some thing that helps us do what we do.

ok the donkeys officially suck

ok my reasoning for writing about the broncos sucking is simply because we have lost 3 of the last 4 and we have still managed to be atop the afc west.  we went from one of the most high powered offenses in the league to like 25 almost over night.  all im sayin is that we need to step on both sides of the ball but more importantly the offense because it is staggering and that our defense hasnt been that great this whole season.   what happened to the gun slinging jay cutler, who went from throwing tds to throwing ints.  where is our running game? michael pitman is a good runner who can produce as he has shown but we dont utilize any of th runnere we have... none.  the whole team is strugglin and we cant jus keep losing and expecting to keep others in the division at bay.  

grief unites us all

summary: the emotion that is perfect, everyone goes through it at some point in there life, makes people stronger.

communication/preaching: the writer promotes lots of examples from famous people and mostly communicates and almost never preaches

tone/voice: the tone is kind of a learning tone, like how the writer tries to cope with it and how she has learned from others how to control it.

laying in bed..... sick

here i lay in bed bored as can be. i have done nothing in the past week but eat and sleep. i have watched almost every movie in my house and thats sayin something. ive watched iron man proly like 3 or 4 times. my room is now clean because of my OCD and boredom andeverything is organized. i wonder when im gonna get over this virus or whatever it is, cuz this sucks.
i wanna go out and party with my friends but i cant. i wanna work on my car but i cant. i wanna hang out with my girl for longer than ten minutes but i cant. sad sad world of being sick, welcome to my life over the past week.

nothing is dead to me not yet atleast

i cant really think about a certain place or something that has changed so much it is dead to me. all of the areas that i have lived in and everything that i can remember about them havent changed when i revisited those places. nothing in those areas have lost my attention and they keep making me come back for memories and to have fun.
all of these place or things still interest me therefore i miss these places but i always come back to the same thing every time ive been, they never dissapoint or vanish away. maybe some things change like business locations or maybe even renovations but nothing is disapearing and the places are jus as social and fun as the last time.

broncos v buccaneers

wow im really suprised that the broncos defense showed up on sunday. it helped because the offense was dead which was expected because the buccs are the gods of defense. but our defense held out a good battle in a close win.
matt prater had his work cut out for him with 3 field goals and 2 of them being from beyond 50 yards. with a score of 16-13 the broncos won but what happened to the blistering offense that we all saw until week 4?

the mcmansion next door

in the mcmansion piece i believe that the writer is suggesting that we are all the same when it comes to what we do with our houses. we dont have the choice in the foundation plans or wat it looks like, we just get a few upgrade options for the basement and bathrooms. but all of those options are the same nothing unique. one bathroom option that might cost 5000 could be the same one ur neighbor just payed to put in.

description

sitting in the main entrance of RRCC i see an O'bama campaign table asking people if they have registered to vote yet or not. A kid walks by and shouts "McCain and Palin" this starts a political argument that dissipates in seconds. there a lot of people just chilling outside of the foyer. most of them smoking, just one kid in the non-smoking zone. is he scared? not social? people walking out of the building, now free from there unavoidable cages. people walking in the building so excited to learn........... the lawn, which is vast and huge is virtually empty with only a few by standers meandering about on its surface. the ocean of cars in the parking lot, where did i park i forget. some kids writing down things on their laptops others writing on a solitary piece of paper. the structures are big and made out of concrete, as if to resemble a bomb shelter. and a very randomly parked police cruiser. no one is inside, maybe they are spying, just waiting for one of us to light something other than a cigarette........ JUS PLAYIN HAHA

why i dont have tatoos or piercings

its not that i disagree with the idea. i have not yet decided what i want to put on my body permantly. that and the fact that my parents wont let me have any. piercings are more for women than for men altough i have been thinking about getting a tongue piercing. my tatoo ideas my family crest that i will get with my brothers but other than that i dont have a clue and hence i am waiting. tattoos always seemed pretty cool to me and then i realized that i shouldnt get a tat unless it means something to me, and if ill be happy with it there on future days to come.
i think that getting tattoos or piercings is a way of identifying yourself. say if you stole something from a store and you tried to deny it but you had a very unique tatto that was visible or vice versa you didnt steal something and are being accused of it. tattoos are art, and should be held as art not just some way to fit in or to be cool. piercings are a way of expressing yourself also. some people may want piercings forthere culture or for art purposses. i dont think i will get any type of piercing other than a tongue piercing.

i believe that young men and boys are pressured by todays society, but not to the extent of young women or girls. boys are taught to be strong, fast and fit and if you dont fit into anyone of these categories then you are technically cast out. also the build of the male is a factor. are you tall, short, fat, or skinny? many of these aspects are judged by our couterparts; girls and women. in a scientific study 90% of women chose to go after a taller man than the short one, and like wise with their wieght- whether they were skinny or not. todays society pressures males into thinking that they must be toned and fit inorder to find a partner.
the images that youg men fashion themselves to are posted up everywhere from the packages we buy our underwear from to who our favorite athlete is, its becoming ridiculous. boys in the age group of 12- 13 are not sexualized like girls of the same age. youg men start to get sexualized around the age of 16 or 17 because thats when people can see what the boys phsique is and how big he is going to be or how athletic he is, most times boys with athletic capabilities are noticed around the age of 12 or 13, but at that age no one can tell how big they are going to get or if he will be a literal tank or not.

guitars

i have just recently aquired a new guitar. an ibanez type s. it is amazing. its soo much nice than the strat that i have been playing for 8 yrs.its black and shiny haha. it sounds great i dont ever want to play a different type of guitar for the rest of my life lol.
the neck is polished red wood, and the strings are soft steel for now. with the reverb on nothing sounds better

Broncos

this seasons opener will be the our first glimpse of the broncos. we'll see how they do without there star wide out Brandon Marshall. there running game has been questioned this offseason and will be put to the test on gameday.
jay cutler should be up to par, or over it if they are to win. he will have to be spot on if they are to win. not having Brandon Marshall could really mix things up for the first few games for the broncos unless they find anothre weapon that they can rely on.

DNC

Senator Obama speech on aug. 28, 2008 was one for the decades. he was masterful in his vocabulary and was very mistifying to all of his listeners. although his family made it into his speech it was very brief and he did not go on about all his kids and his wife, this made it interesting because he spent most of his time going on about his father and mother, his father from kneya and his mom from kansas. both poor not very well off and yadayadayada. thus making him seem like a victim as if that would give him votes or something. i think the people of America were expecting something else from obama.
his main point of course being change, as it always is. but change in what? in everything it seems like he doesnt really go into particulars when it comes to his change speech. he just keeps on saying that we are ready for change and that he can help bring change along with his presidency.
the effectiveness of this speech was proly an 8 on a scale of ten. he kept his listeners attention and always kept it interesting.

RNC

i believe that senator McCain was very thorough in his speech. making it very clear to the American people that he wants to be the next President of the United States. He also brought Senator Obama into his speech, honoring him and his supporters.
i believe that the main point of his speech was to fight for our country and for our rights as American citizens. to be proud of being free and to fight for it. and to give thanks to God for the men who made it possible.
the speech, i think, has been the most effective speech from him yet, and i think they will only get better from here on, hi incorperated his entire family into his speech. making it very family oriented .

educational and non-educational

there are many forms of text that we see every day. Some are music, billboards, clothing, trafic signs, buses, sculpture and others forms of art work, movies, news papers, and internet are just some. i believe that we use many of the forms of text for educational purposes and the others are simply for recreation and sales ads.
on the educational side, music is a big part of our society. we can learn many things from music and its history, we can also use music to relax or pump us up. traffic signs are a part of every day life and help us organize the traffic build up in or around major cities, these lights are very educational to new drivers. the internet is one our biggest tools in modern society, you can llok up any thing you would need. art is creativity displayed in its most educated form. educated art is creativeness controlled.
on the flip side movies and clothing and buses are all a part of a more recreational text i would think. most the stuff you read from a t-shirt you already know, as well as the text on vehicles. movies are a way to releave stress, unless its a documentary the movie probably wont be very educational.
